1906
After his return from Mexico at the end of the nineteenth century, Mr. Jose Mª Rivera Corral founded in 1906 the factory “La Estrella de Galicia” in the city of La Coruña, dedicated to the manufacture of beers, a name that recalls what was his business in Veracruz “La Estrella de Oro”. This beer is made from carefully selected malts and hops of the aromatic Perle Hallertau variety, providing a good balance of aroma and bitterness.

José María Rivera Corral, born in Chamoselo (A Coruña), founded La Estrella de Galicia after emigrating to Cuba and Mexico. This way, a link, which has remained unchanged ever since, was created between the company and the Rivera family.

La torinese
In 1932, Primo Bertaccini left Sarteano, Siena, to open a pastry shop in Turin. His success, especially with panettone, made him synonymous with Christmas in Turin. La Torinese, established in 1959, continued the legacy at via Vicenza 13, baking over fifty recipes today.
Loch Lomond
Loch Lomond Distillery was commissioned by the Littlemill Distilling Company in 1965 with first distillation in 1966. In 1984, the distillery closed – or fell silent, to use the traditional term. Happily though, Alexander Bulloch and the Glen Catrine company acquired the business and resumed malt production in 1987. Grain whisky production began in 1993 and two new malt stills were added in 1999.

Muirhead’s Scotch Whisky was first produced by Charles Muirhead and Sons, a whisky and wine merchant based in Edinburgh.Charles Muirhead and sons was founded in 1824 and had its offices at 186 Commercial Street close to the port of Leith in the city of Edinburgh. Initially a wine merchant, the company soon branched out to become blenders and exporters of Scotch whisky, under their flagship brand Muirhead’s Blue Seal.
